You would be best off flying into Heraklion airport, which is situated only a 19 minute drive from Hersonissos on the Eastern side of the island. However, departures here are rather costly so one option could be to fly in to Chania airport siutated on the Western side of the island, and then drive the approximate 3 hour beautiful drive along the coast.
We have based this example on flights from London to Heraklion on the 13th April returning 20th April 2016, but you can of course adjust the search and change the dates using our flight comparison tool to suit your own preferences.
